Professionally, I am a neuroscientist and sleep researcher with a PhD in neuroscience. I live in Oslo and currently work at Oslo University in the GliaLab, a brain glial cell laboratory. However, at heart, I am an educator. There are few things I enjoy more than seeing the look of curiosity in your eyes - knowing that you’ve heard something intriguing or useful, that you’ve understood and learned something new.
Making Science Easy - I’ve been studying sleep and brain science since 2015.
My goal is to make people’s everyday lives a bit easier by delivering high-quality, practical insights from the latest sleep and brain science research. I present even the most complex scientific concepts in a way that is easy to understand and, as people say, interesting and inspiring.
Making Science Easy - I aim to help people understand the importance of sleep and neuroscience, improving quality of life through research-based information.
This is a science outreach and communication platform, where over 14 years of experience in the natural sciences combines with a passion for sharing science with you in a way that is easy, fun, and so engaging that you lose track of time.
To bridge the gap between science and everyday life by making science easy, fun, and understandable. I aim to help people trust science and scientists more and apply scientific discoveries in their daily lives.
Quality: I always strive for the highest quality, both in scientific research and its presentation. It is important to me that my audience receives only verified and reliable information.
Meaning: Every lecture and consultation I give is focused on providing content that is meaningful and useful in everyday life. I want science to become a tool that helps solve real problems and improves quality of life.
Healthier and Slower Lifestyle: I aim to promote the understanding of the importance of sleep and rest, breaking the myth that sleeping less leads to greater success. Research confirms that only quality rest allows us to be our most productive and creative. I advocate for a slower pace of life that helps us take better care of ourselves and others.
I’m able to simplify even the most complicated subjects so that everyone can understand them.
Throughout my studies, I noticed that well-structured and engaging lectures greatly ease the learning process and inspire curiosity. This motivated me to master the art of explaining science in an easy, engaging, and purposeful way, ensuring I don’t waste my time or others’ with ineffective presentations.

• Have questions about sleep tech products? I’ll help you find reliable information and advise you on choosing the right products.
I’ve been practicing yoga and meditation for more than 10 years, with a deep interest in the scientific studies of these practices. In Oslo, I’ve taught lectures on meditation, yoga nidra, and the science behind yoga.
I enjoy swimming, practicing yoga on a SUP board, and fishing for trout, cod, and mackerel. I’m a huge fan of the Traveller’s notebook, love sushi, and partly became a scientist PARTLY because of the TV show “Bones.” I walk a lot, my role model in science and writing is Oliver Sacks, and I can’t go a day without spending time in nature. I tend to worry easily and love to plan things out. I’m driven by understanding—always needing to know the “why” behind things. I also like macrame, played badminton in childhood, and recently got back into the sport. I have mild tinnitus and am not a fan of late autumn or winter.
